Beef Stroganoff

This recipe is from the Kansas City Kansan of 1967...

Beef Stroganoff

2 pounds round steak
1 can bouillon soup
1 cup water
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 can mushroom soup

Remove fat from steak.
Cut into 2-inch squares. Flour lightly and brown. Add can of bouillon soup and water , mixed with cornstarch. Add salt and soy sauce. cover and simmer at least 1 1/2 hours or until fork tender. Add mushroom soup and stir until creamy. Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.
