Crumbly Peach Pie

I thought I might just as well give ya a recipe to fill the plain pastry aka pie crust, and since it is peach season here in the Ozarks......A peach pie recipe.....a crumbly peach pie, out of an old cookbook.....

This recipe like I said is from an old cookbook....My Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook
this cookbook was published in 1939....I know there are newer editions of t his cookbook, but I don't think they have exactly the same recipes, they might some that are similar.....
                                         Lets start this recipe

                                                       The crumbly part
                                         Mix ;
                                                     1 cup sugar,
                                                     2 Tablespoon flour,
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg ( I might have add more),
cut in 1/2 cup butter or margarine
At this point my hands might have come in contact with this
Sprinkle half of this mixture in the unbaked pie shell

heres where I put my own little spin on the recipe
Recipe calls for 6-8 large fresh peach halves
I thought it would be pretty with the peaches
sliced
so I sliced about 2-3 peaches,
remember yours may vary depending on the peach size

sorry about the blurriness
put the other half of crumbly mixture over peaches
Bake in hot oven ( 450 degrees)
for 10 minutes,
Then in reduce oven temp  to 350 degrees and
continue baking for about 30 minutes

now lets eat!
