No, I'm not talking about those plants outside around your house or along your driveway...I'm talking about the old vinegar drinks...originally was to keep those fruits in the summer....and a easy one to store them......Yes, I have been jumped on this band wagon on drinking shrubs...
Besides having health benefits, they are good and thirst quenching...I have only just begun doing this , so I'm no expert...So far I have tried a peach shrub...1 part peaches, 1 part sugar ( or some kind of sweetener such as honey, etc.) and one part vinegar....
The peach one That I used 1 cup diced peaches, about 3-4 Tablespoons sugar, and 1 cup of white balsamic vinegar.....let it ferment for about 24-48 hours in frig , then strain ....add about 2-3 teaspoons to club soda, sparkling water, tap water, tea...endless possibilities...this one is good....
the next one I'm trying is peaches with blackberries....and using apple cider vinegar with the mother in it...1 part fruit, 1 part sugar, and 1 part vinegar....have not tried this one as of yet...
