Plain Pastry

First off, Im truly sorry about not posting any bread, muffin, or any kind of pastry ......Its been one of those weeks....school starting, a very stressful situation( where I didn't feel very good)
But here is todays recipe, I have posted this before, but what the yeck...This is my blog and I want to repost again....

                     This recipe is from the Dessert cookbook

                                         Lets Start



                
                                              Sift together;
                                                      2 cups all-purpose flour
                                                      1 teaspoon salt

 
Cut in 1/3 cup shortening
until it resembles fine meal
then cut another
1/3 cup of shortening until
it resembles small peas
 
 
sorry about the blurriness
next drop 1 Tablespoon of cold water
over the flour mixture
and mix with a  fork
keeping drop Tablespoons of cold water
 until it forms a ball
about 6-7 Tablespoons
( It may vary due to the humanity)
 
 
Form into a ball
and let rest for several minutes
 
 
Divide dough in half
Roll out into circle
 
 
place pie plate on top of roll pie crust
to make sure it is rolled out enough
 
 
Place in the pie plate
I pinched the sides
( a good way to put in pie plate
is using the rolling pin and partial
place the pie crust on the rolling pin and place in
the pie plate)
 
 
 
 
Prick with fork
and either fill with a yummy filling  that
needs to be bake in unbaked crust
or bake
in a 450 degree oven for 12-15 minutes
and place a yummy filling and enjoy
